Firstly a very Happy Diwali to everyone. Today's recipe is lasaniya batata curry. Means baby potato's cooked in gram flour and yogurt sauce. Very simple to cook and perfect to be served with poori and chapati. Here goes the recipe....
Baby potatos 10
Besan/ gram flour 1cup
Haldi 1/4sp
Red chilli powder 3/4sp
Yogurt 1/2sp
Garlic 10cloves
Cumin seeds 1sp
Coriander powder 2sps
Cilantro chopped 1sp
Oil 1/4 cup
Garam masala 1/2sp
Method:
Peel the skin of baby potatos and cut them to half or leave them as they are.
On medium heat fry potatos tilll they are 3/4 cooked
Remove and keep aside.
In the same oil add cumin and crushed garlic and fry till golden brown.
Now mix besan and stir for 5 minutes.
Also add coriander powder, garam masala, chilli powder and haldi.
Switch off the stove and mix yogurt and 1 cup water.
Now add fried potato's and cook on low flame untill potato's are completely cooked.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice, roti or poori.
