Jhal Muri ~~ Spicy Puffed Rice

Jhal Muri is a popular street food in Kolkata and all over India.  Jhal means spices and muri means puffed rice. Food Vendors can be found making this spicy snack near bus stands, railways stations, on the roads , in a local train and many more places. This is one quick snack where kids can also make it. Add spices according to  your taste and add some chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, chili and cilantro. Add puffed rice only when you are ready to serve or else the dish become soft and doesn't taste good.

This popular recipe goes to the 3rd day of Blogging marathon 83 under the theme " Home made street food". Here goes the recipe.........

I love Bengali food and their mishti (sweets). One cannot miss this quick snack option like our bhel puri back in Kolkata. This is super spicy, tangy and an ideal snack option when hungry or during weekends on a beach. Loved your presentation. Tempting.
