Gobhi paratha is another popular dish from punjab, others being aloo paratha, paneer paratha etc...This dish is usually made for breakfast and served with pickle and curds on the side. Grate the cauliflower and add some spices according to your taste, cook and cool it before stuffing into paratha. Simple yet delicious paratha's are ready in just few minutes.
This recipes goes to the final day of 4th week of Blogging Marathon 86 under the theme " Stuffed flatbread from different countries".
Ingredients:
Grated cauliflower / gobhi 1 cup
Crushed red pepper 1/2 spoon
Garlic powder 3/4 spoon
Chopped coriander 3 spoons
Cumin seeds 1/2 spoon
Salt to taste
Oil
Wheat flour 2 cups
Preparation:
Add salt and 2 spoons oil to wheat flour, mix.
Add water to the flour to make a nice and semi soft dough.
In a pan heat 2 spoons oil and add cumin seeds.
Saute for few seconds and add grated cauliflower.
Add garlic powder, crushed pepper and salt to taste.
Let cook on low to medium flame till all the moisture evaporates and the cauliflower is completely cooked.
Now add chopped coriander and give it a stir.
Remove from flame and let it cool completely.
Now make 5-6 equal portions of the dough.
Roll each ball into small poori, add 2 spoons stuffing in the center and cover seal the edges .
Now carefully roll the ball into 1/4 inch thick patartha.
Heat a tawa and cook the paratha on both sides adding ghee or oil on top.
Serve hot with curd or pickle.

Gobhi parathas are a winter treat , I have never made these by cooking the Gobhi , must try this version too .
