Oats & Peanut ladoo is a tasty and healthy energy booster ladoo made with jaggery. These are super simple to make and a perfect snack for all ages. Jaggery can be replaced with sugar too. I have added roasted sesame seeds as is, you can even make a powder of it and add to the mixture.
This recipe goes to week 2, day 3 of blogging marathon 117 under the theme " Navratri special".
Ingredients:
Oats 1 cup
Peanuts 1 cup
Jaggery 1/2 cup ( 1/4 cup more if you like more sweeter )
Sesame seeds 1 tbsp ( optional )
Cardamom powder 1 tsp
Butter / Ghee 1 tbsp
Preparation:
Dry roast peanuts on low to medium flame.
Let cool for sometime and remove the skin.
Dry roast oats and sesame seeds separately till light brown or crisp and keep aside.
Now grind peanuts to course powder and transfer to bowl.
Also grind oats to powder and add to the powdered peanuts.
You can either grind the sesame seeds to course or add as it is to the mixture.
Now add grated jaggery, cardamom powder and ghee / butter to the ground mixture.
Mix everything well and make small to medium size ladoo.
Serve.

That is a protein powerhouse, Sushma. Love these simple laddus and they work best if kids like them too.
The laddoo looks awesome. Yum! peanut ladoos are my favorite. Will give a try for the Karthigai deepam festival.
Great idea to combine oats and peanuts. This is indeed a power packed protein laddu.
A delicious and nutritious laddu. The oats addition to the peanut laddu makes it healthier.
