Beerakaya pachadi is one of my family favorite in recent times, specially my daughter. My mom made
this chutney when she was here last December. Since then it has become our family's favorite. We
have it with rice, roti, idly, chutney and even with chips as a dip. Now that the Spring has started and
will start gardening soon, my daughter wants me to grow ridge gourd in our backyard. Given a
chance she is ready to eat this chutney any day any time with anything hehehe.....
This recipe goes to week 4 day 3 of Blogging Marathon 122 under the theme " Lets make some

A chutney with ridge gourd ..wow what a unique way to use this humble veggie.
The chutney sounds like a very good way to use up ridge gourd, which is usually not a well used one in my home. Sounds simple and flavorful...
Beerakaya pachadi bhale ruchiga vuntundi kadha, no wonder your daughter loves it. Hope you are growing the gourds this summer.
Ridge gourd chutney is the best way to feed kids who hate to eat the veggie as such. Your version looks a little different from mine and I am trying it soon.
I tried this chutney last year and started loving this. This is an excellent recipe.
