Batata Harra means spicy potatoes in Arabic. The crispy golden potato cubes are fried and tossed in
cilantro sauce along with fresh garlic, chili flakes and paprika. Hint of lime juice at the end gives
this dish a very nice taste and flavor. In the traditional recipe potatoes are deep fried first, then add
them to cilantro sauce and fry again. Basically we are double frying here. As many are health
conscious these days, you can either air fry the potatoes or bake them in oven until crisp and then
add to the sauce. Or you can shallow fry them with very little oil as I am doing today. This can be
serves as an appetizer, a side dish or as an main dish
This recipe goes to Week 4 Day 1 of Blogging Marathon 132 under the theme " Lets pack to the

Ingredients:
Potatoes 2 cups ( peeled and diced )
Crushed garlic 1/2 tbsp
Red chili flakes 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
Olive oil 4 tbsp
Chopped cilantro 1/2 cup
Lime / lemon juice 1/2 tbsp
Preparation:
Add oil to the frying pan, add diced potatoes and fry them until they turn golden brown.
Remove and place them on a paper towel.
In the same oil add crushed garlic and saute for a minute, add crushed chili flakes, salt and pepper.
Fry until garlic turns light brown, add fried potatoes and chopped cilantro.
Toss them , so that potatoes are coated well.
Switch off flame, add lemon juice mix and serve hot.

batata harra is such an easy preparation. I make something similar and this time I made it your way. We liked it a lot.
Fried potatoes in any form sound sinful!..very delicious way of making this.
